Question by tisa: Where can i download a tuner for guitar?
where can i download a tuner where i strum my strings into my computer’s microphone and it tells me to tighten or loosen my strings? I can’t do it my ear, i know it’s very specific.

I’ve just tried http://www.seventhstring.com/tuner/tuner.html just using a mike input to the PC with my acoustic and it’s a bit fiddly but it does what you want. Tells you the main note and how far out you are on the meter below it. It’ll also tell you if you aren’t getting a signal or if it’s just hearing 50/60Hz hum. Note when you select the page you’ll be asked to accept a plug in, say yes or it won’t work.

i am a left handed person and i have done my 6th piano grade(abrsm)
i want to buy a guitar, just for fun and not employ a tutor.i want to learn guitar from those guitar tutorial websites.should i buy a left handed guitar or rigth handed one.which tutorial website(free) do you recomend?

if you are left handed, get a left handed guitar. even though it will seem to be strung in reverse to a person of the opposite handage – the stringing is still the same, so you could learn from any website you find.

i will tell you that websites will not teach you anything – they will only give you a “glimpse” and make you frustrated….you will learn useless tidbits and won’t be able to tie the concepts together without a good teacher.

hi! i am a beginner in guitar and i need a guitar tuner not online i need to download it to have it with me every where i go on my p.c but none of the websites i tried have a good one they all don’t work

iTunes has a guitar tuner application that is free… I’m assuming you have iTunes, so type in “guitar tuner” into the search bar. look in the apps… idk if this will work because I found this app on my iPod. but yeah, if you have an iPhone/iPod touch then download it onto there.

Question by Charlotte: Accurate guitar tutorial for good riddance (time of your life) by Green day?
I really want to be able to play this song, and the only tutorials i’ve found on youtube are not accurate, and although they do sound vaugley like the song, I want a tutorial that is true to the original version. Can anyone suggest an accurate tutorial? Or can anyone play the song themselves and help me with the intro, chords and strumming pattern? Thanks a lot

I’m learning how to play that song too. Just get the tabs off of ultimate-guitar.com and then you can look up a guitar cover on youtube to see how the strumming goes for the chords.
