if you are left handed, get a left handed guitar. even though it will seem to be strung in reverse to a person of the opposite handage – the stringing is still the same, so you could learn from any website you find.
i will tell you that websites will not teach you anything – they will only give you a “glimpse” and make you frustrated….you will learn useless tidbits and won’t be able to tie the concepts together without a good teacher.

Most lefties learn to play right handed and it’s a wise decision. Both hands have an important job to do and if anything the fretting hand has the more challenging job. If you learn to play right handed you would be fretting with your dominant hand, a distinct advantage. Plus, there are more guitars available to you as well as more teaching materials. Many manufacturers charge a premium for a left handed model. Overall, right handed is the best way to go.
Good luck.

Check out http://www.shigaru.com . It’s a new guitar community based website where people can share their musical knowledge by uploading there own music, video tutorials. They have all kinds of levels and languages on there too!
Best of all ….it’s free!!
Hope this helps!
And please tell all your friends about it. The more people we tell about the site the more users it will have and the more tutorials people will share with us!!
